    Some of my favorite locations for a San Francisco photo session include the Golden Gate Bridge, Crissy Field, Battery Spencer, Palace of Fine Arts, Baker Beach, Lover’s Lane in the Presidio, San Francisco City Hall, Union Square, the Ferry Building with views of the Bay Bridge, and Sausalito.

    For something a little different, I also offer boat photo sessions in Golden Gate Park, which are especially beautiful for couples and pre-wedding sessions.

    Each location has its own character, and the best choice depends on the time of day, weather, season, and type of session. I help clients choose locations and plan a comfortable route based on the conditions and the style of photos they would like.

    The best time for Golden Gate Bridge photos depends on the location and the look you prefer. In general, softer morning light or late-afternoon light works beautifully for portraits, while the hours closer to sunset can create a warmer and more dramatic atmosphere.

    San Francisco weather can change quickly, especially around the Golden Gate Bridge. Fog, wind, and cloud cover can affect both the view and the light, so I check the conditions and recommend the best location and timing for each session. If the bridge is heavily covered by fog, we can also adjust the route or choose another nearby location.

  • 샌프란시스코 시청 스냅은 몇 시에 촬영하는 것이 좋은가요?

    If your session is mainly at San Francisco City Hall, I recommend photographing around 10–11 AM. The building is usually less crowded than later in the day, making it easier to photograph in some of City Hall’s most beautiful spaces.

    If your session also includes outdoor locations such as the Palace of Fine Arts or Golden Gate Bridge, I usually recommend starting at City Hall in the afternoon. This allows us to continue outdoors as the light becomes softer later in the day.

    San Francisco City Hall is a popular location for weddings and photo sessions, so crowds can vary depending on the day. I help plan the timing and route based on your session and the locations you would like to include.

    시청을 중심으로 촬영한다면 오전 10~11시경을 가장 추천해요. 오후보다 비교적 사람이 적은 편이라 시청 내부의 다양한 공간을 활용해 조금 더 여유롭게 촬영하기 좋습니다.

  • 샌프란시스코 스냅 촬영 당일 비가 오거나 안개가 심하면 어떻게 하나요?

    San Francisco weather can change quickly, especially near the Golden Gate Bridge and the coast. Fog doesn’t always mean we need to change the session. It can create a soft, atmospheric look that feels uniquely San Francisco, and sometimes the Golden Gate Bridge appears as the fog shifts during the session.

    If the fog is too heavy to see the Golden Gate Bridge, I can adjust the route and recommend alternative locations such as Lover’s Lane or Sausalito based on the conditions that day.

    Rain doesn’t necessarily mean we have to change the session either. If you’re open to a little adventure, I love photographing outdoors in the rain. Rainy San Francisco has its own romantic mood and can create beautiful, memorable images that feel completely different from a sunny day.

    I check the weather before each session, and if needed, we can adjust the locations or route together based on the conditions.

    안개가 너무 짙어 금문교가 잘 보이지 않는다면 당일 상황을 보면서 Lover’s Lane이나 Sausalito 등 다른 장소로 촬영 동선을 조정할 수 있습니다.

    비가 온다고 해서 꼭 촬영을 변경해야 하는 것도 아니에요. 조금의 용기가 있다면 저는 비 오는 날 야외 촬영도 좋아합니다. 비 내리는 샌프란시스코만의 감성과 분위기가 있어서 맑은 날과는 또 다른 특별한 사진을 남길 수 있어요.

    When planning a San Francisco photo session, it’s helpful to think about the locations you love, the overall style you want, and how much time you would like to spend shooting.

    San Francisco has many different settings within a relatively small area, but weather, traffic, parking, and travel time between locations can affect the schedule. I help plan the route based on the time of day, light, and locations you would like to include.

    The weather can also feel cooler and windier than expected, especially near the coast and the Golden Gate Bridge. I recommend bringing comfortable shoes for walking between locations and an extra layer when needed. You can always change into your photo shoes once we arrive at each location.

    You don’t need to know how to pose or have previous photo session experience. I’ll guide you throughout the session so you can focus on enjoying the experience and being together.

    사진 촬영이 처음이거나 포즈가 익숙하지 않아도 걱정하지 않으셔도 됩니다. 촬영하는 동안 자연스럽게 디렉팅해 드리기 때문에 포즈를 미리 준비해 오실 필요는 없어요.

  • What you wear can completely change the look and mood of your photos, so I recommend putting some thought into your outfits before the session. Since these photos are something you’ll keep for a long time, a well-planned outfit can make a meaningful difference in the final images.

    Consider the locations we’ll be photographing at and choose outfits that complement the setting and the style you want. A romantic dress can create a completely different feeling from a casual outfit, while a more classic or formal look works beautifully with locations such as San Francisco City Hall or the Palace of Fine Arts.

    For couples, your outfits don’t need to match exactly. Instead, choose colors and styles that look good together. If your session includes multiple locations, bringing a second outfit can also give you a completely different look within the same session.

    촬영 장소와 원하는 사진의 분위기를 생각하면서 의상을 선택해 주세요. 로맨틱한 드레스와 캐주얼한 의상은 같은 장소에서도 전혀 다른 느낌을 만들고, San Francisco City Hall이나 Palace of Fine Arts처럼 클래식한 장소에서는 조금 더 드레시하거나 정돈된 의상도 사진에 아주 잘 어울립니다.

    커플 촬영이라면 두 사람이 똑같이 맞춰 입기보다는 서로 잘 어울리는 컬러와 스타일로 전체적인 분위기를 맞추는 것이 좋아요. 여러 장소에서 촬영하는 세션이라면 두 번째 의상을 준비해 한 번의 촬영에서 서로 다른 분위기의 사진을 남기는 것도 추천합니다.

  • Not at all. You don’t need to know how to pose before your session. I’ll guide you throughout the shoot so you can feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera.

    If you have a specific style or certain poses you love, feel free to collect reference photos and send them to me before the session. We can look at them together, and I’ll help you recreate the feeling and poses in a way that works naturally for you. If there are particular poses you really want, practicing them together beforehand can also be helpful.

    I believe the most beautiful photographs come from natural moments and genuine connection. Rather than thinking of it as a photo shoot, think of it as a beautiful and special date together. Enjoy the time, focus on each other, and I’ll take care of capturing the moments in between.

    포즈를 잘 못하거나 사진 촬영이 처음이어도 괜찮아요. 촬영하는 동안 자연스럽게 움직이고 포즈를 취할 수 있도록 제가 하나씩 디렉팅해 드립니다.

    원하는 사진의 스타일이나 꼭 찍고 싶은 포즈가 명확하다면 레퍼런스 사진을 모아서 촬영 전에 보내주세요. 촬영할 때 함께 보면서 두 분에게 자연스럽게 어울릴 수 있도록 포즈를 도와드려요. 특히 꼭 남기고 싶은 포즈가 있다면 두 분이 미리 가볍게 연습해 오시는 것도 좋습니다.

    저는 결국 가장 아름다운 사진은 자연스러운 순간과 두 분의 진짜 모습에서 나온다고 생각해요. ‘오늘 사진을 찍으러 간다’고 생각하기보다는 두 분이 아름답고 특별한 데이트를 하는 날이라고 생각하고 오세요. 서로에게 집중하고 그 시간을 즐기시면, 그 사이의 자연스럽고 예쁜 순간들은 제가 사진으로 남겨드릴게요.

  • Article 1 (Booking Confirmation & Retainer Policy)

    1. This agreement becomes effective immediately upon the submission of the booking form and the receipt of the required retainer fee.

    2. The retainer fee is strictly for securing and holding your specific date and time slot, and it is calculated included in the session fee.

    3. Because this fee reflects the opportunity cost of turning down other prospective clients to reserve your exclusive slot, the retainer is strictly non-refundable in the event of cancellation due to personal circumstances.

    Article 2 (Tardiness & Session Time Policy)

    1. All photography sessions will begin strictly at the scheduled time.

    2. Any delay caused by the client’s tardiness will be deducted from the total session time, and the session will conclude at the originally scheduled end time. Compensation or refunds for lost time due to lateness will not be provided. (Given the heavy traffic and complex parking conditions in the San Francisco area, we highly recommend arriving 10–15 minutes earlier than your scheduled time.)

    Article 3 (Inclement Weather Policy)

    1. In the event of severe or hazardous weather conditions (e.g., heavy downpours, storms) that make shooting impossible, the session will be rescheduled to an alternative date upon mutual agreement.

    Article 4 (Editing Style & Copyright Notice)

    1. MAY'S STUDIO pursues a natural retouching style that enhances your inherent beauty, focusing on refining skin tone, texture, and body lines. We intentionally avoid unnatural, excessive facial reshaping, digital body distortions, or heavy composite manipulation.

    2. The copyright of all images captured belongs entirely to the photographer. Clients receive the rights for non-commercial use only (e.g., personal storage and personal social media posting). Posting unedited, incomplete raw photos on social media is prohibited. Please wait to share your photos until you receive the final edited versions.

    3. If you request your photos to be kept [Private] during the booking stage, photos showing your face or distinct features will never be disclosed online.

    4. However, please note that shots that do not infringe upon privacy rights—such as back views, silhouettes, detail/prop shots, or wide-angle landscape shots where individuals are unrecognizable—may be used in the photographer’s portfolio and archive regardless of the privacy request.

    Article 5 (File Delivery & Online Gallery Maintenance)

    1. Within 7 days after your session, you will receive an email link to your personal online gallery (Pic-Time) to view and download your high-resolution original photos. The final edited images will be delivered within a maximum of 50 days after you complete your selection.

    2. Your delivered original and edited photos will be safely maintained in the online gallery for one (1) year from the delivery date. After one year, the gallery will be automatically closed and deactivated.

    3. [Important] The online gallery is hosted through an external professional platform (Pic-Time). Therefore, the photographer cannot be held liable for any data loss or accessibility issues resulting from unpredictable external factors, such as system errors, bankruptcy, or service disruptions of the hosting company. Clients must download and securely back up all files onto at least two (2) personal storage devices immediately upon receiving the link. Data cannot be reissued or recovered after the one-year expiration.

    Article 6 (Emergency & Liability Limitations)

    1. In the highly unlikely event that the session cannot take place due to an unavoidable emergency on the photographer’s part, all fees paid, including the retainer, will be refunded immediately. If requested, the photographer will actively assist in finding a reliable alternative photographer.

    2. In the event of an unexpected accident caused by the photographer's oversight (such as data corruption), the photographer’s liability is strictly limited to the 'total amount paid' by the client for the session.​

    1. 본 계약은 고객이 예약폼을 제출하고 안내된 예약금을 입금함과 동시에 효력이 발생합니다.

    2. 예약금은 오직 해당 날짜를 확정하고 비워두기 위한 계약금으로, 예약금은 촬영비에 포함됩니다.

    3. 예약금은 타 고객의 예약 문의를 거절하고 해당 날짜와 시간대를 독점적으로 확보하기 위한 계약금입니다. 따라서 입금 후 고객 개인 사정으로 인한 취소 시 예약금은 반환되지 않습니다.

    제 2 조 (지각 및 촬영 시간 규정)

    1. 모든 촬영 세션은 약속된 정시에 시작됩니다.

    2. 고객의 지각으로 인해 지연된 시간은 총 촬영 시간에서 차감되어 진행되며, 지각으로 인해 채우지 못한 촬영 시간에 대한 보상이나 환불은 불가합니다. (주차가 복잡하고 교통 체증이 잦은 샌프란시스코 지역 특성상, 촬영 예정 시간보다 10~15분 일찍 도착하시는 것을 적극 권장합니다.)

    제 3 조 (우천 및 날씨 규정)

    1. 폭우, 폭풍 등 안전에 위협이 되거나 촬영이 불가능한 수준의 악천후의 경우에 한하여 상호 협의 하에 일정을 재조정해 드립니다.

    제 4 조 (보정 스타일 및 저작권 안내)

    1. MAY.S_STUDIO는 인위적이고 과도한 이목구비 성형이나 부자연스러운 체형 왜곡과 합성을 지양하며, 피부톤과 결, 바디 라인을 자연스럽고 예쁘게 정돈하는 리터칭을 추구합니다.

    2. 촬영된 모든 작업물의 저작권은 촬영자(작가)에게 귀속되며, 고객은 비상업적인 용도(개인 소장 및 개인 SNS 게시)로만 사용할 수 있습니다. 미완성된 원본 사진의 SNS 무단 게시는 지양해 주시기 바라며, 최종 보정본 수령 후 게시를 부탁드립니다.

    3. 예약 단계에서 [비공개]를 요청하시는 경우 고객의 정면 및 이목구비가 드러나는 사진은 일절 공개되지 않습니다. 다만, 초상권을 침해하지 않는 선(정면이 아닌 뒷모습, 실루엣, 소품, 인물이 식별되지 않는 원경 사진 등)의 컷은 비공개 요청 여부와 관계없이 작가의 포트폴리오로 사용될 수 있음을 고지합니다.

    제 5 조 (데이터 전달 및 온라인 갤러리 유지)

    1. 촬영 후 7일 이내에 원본jpg 온라인 갤러리(Pic-Time) 링크가 발송되며, 고객 셀렉 후 최종 보정본 전달까지는 최대 50일이 소요됩니다.

    2. 공유해 드린 원본과 보정본은 전달일로부터 1년 동안 온라인 갤러리에 안전하게 보관 및 유지되며, 1년 후 갤러리는 자동 폐쇄됩니다.

    3. 온라인 갤러리는 외부 호스팅 플랫폼(Pic-Time)을 이용하여 제공되므로, 해당 업체의 시스템 오류, 파산, 서비스 중단 등 작가가 제어할 수 없는 외부 요인으로 인한 데이터 손실이나 접속 불가 상황에 대해 작가는 책임지지 않습니다. 따라서 고객은 링크를 받는 즉시 모든 데이터를 개인 저장장치에 다운로드(이중 백업)하셔야 하며, 만료 및 유실 후 데이터 재발급은 절대 불가합니다.

    제 6 조 (비상 상황 및 배상 책임)

    1. 작가의 불가피한 비상 상황으로 촬영이 불가능하게 될 경우, 입금하신 금액은 즉시 전액 환불되며 고객의 요청시 대체 작가 섭외를 적극적으로 도와드립니다.

    2. 작가의 과실로 인한 사고 발생 시 (데이터유실) 배상 책임은 고객이 지불한 '총 금액'을 한도로 합니다.

  • File Delivery & Photo Policy 🌿

    1. Original File Delivery (Within 7 Days)

    • Within 7 days after the session, you will receive an email link to a private online gallery (Pic-Time). You can instantly view, download, and share high-resolution original files with your family and friends.

    2. Image Selection (Please Select Within 1 Month)

    • Please complete your image selection within one month of receiving the gallery. Simply click the 'Heart' icon on your favorite photos inside the Pic-Time gallery or send a list of file names to the photographer.

    • Our Retouching Style: We provide natural skin, texture, and body-line enhancements. Feel free to let us know if you have specific requests! However, please note that excessive facial distortions or unnatural body modifications do not align with our signature aesthetic.

    3. Edited Image Delivery (Within 50 Days After Selection)

    • Expedited Editing Service: Receive your edits within 7 days for an additional $100 (limited to 20 images).

    • Additional Edits: Beyond the package limit, additional retouched images can be requested at $10 per image.

    4. Technical Notices regarding Original Files

    • To capture candid expressions and prevent closed eyes, shots are often taken in rapid bursts (continuous shooting). Therefore, the original files may occasionally include unaligned or slightly out-of-focus frames.

    • In high-contrast lighting situations, the photographer intentionally shoots slightly dark (underexposed) to maximize the dynamic range and quality for the final edit. Please rest assured even if the originals look a bit dark.

    Important Request: Please do not post unedited or raw original files on public social media before the final edits are ready. Sharing uncompleted drafts directly impacts the artist's branding and copyright integrity. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.

    2. 사진 셀렉 하기 (한 달 이내 셀렉 부탁드려요)

    • 사진 셀렉은 한 달 이내에 완료해 주시기 바랍니다. 온라인 갤러리(Pic-Time)에서 마음에 드는 사진에 '하트' 아이콘을 누른 후 저와 공유해 주시거나, 파일명 리스트를 편하게 보내주시면 됩니다. May.s_studio의 시그니처 리터칭은 피부톤과 결, 그리고 바디 라인을 자연스럽고 예쁘게 정돈해 드립니다. 특별히 원하시는 보정 요청 사항이 있으시다면 세세하게 말씀해 주세요! 다만, 과도한 이목구비 성형이나 부자연스러운 체형 왜곡 등은 May.s_studio가 추구하는 자연스러운 리터칭 스타일과는 맞지 않습니다.​

    3. 셀렉 후 50일 이내 보정본 받기​

    • 긴급 보정 (일주일 이내) 희망 시 $100 추가 (20장 한정)

    • 기본 보정 외에 추가 보정을 원할 시 한 장당 $10

    4. 파일 보관 및 삭제 기간

    • 공유해 드린 원본과 보정본은 1년까지만 보관됩니다. (고화질 원본도 모두 공유해드리며 추가금은 없습니다. 링크를 받으시면 반드시 백업 본을 반드시 2곳 이상 저장하시길 권장합니다.) 삭제가 되면 온라인 갤러리가 열리지 않습니다. 또한 파일을 저장하지 않아서 생기는 일은 작가가 책임지지 않습니다.

    • 자연스러운 표정을 포착하고 눈 깜빡임이나 움직임을 방지하기 위해 연사로 촬영하여, 원본에는 간혹 수평이나 초점이 맞지 않는 사진이 포함되어 있을 수 있습니다. 또한, 빛의 대비가 큰 곳에서는 보정 퀄리티를 높이기 위해 일부러 어둡게 촬영하기도 하니 원본이 조금 어둡더라도 안심하셔도 됩니다.

    • 보내드린 고화질 원본 중 원하시는 컷을 셀렉해 주시면, 과하지 않고 자연스러운 색감과 분위기로 예쁘게 보정해 드리겠습니다. 다만 완성도 높은 결과물을 위해, 보정본이 나오기 전 원본 사진을 개인 SNS에 먼저 올리시는 것은 조금만 참아주시기를 부탁드립니다. 미완성된 원본 공유는 작가의 저작권과도 직결되는 부분이라 양해를 구합니다.

    • 고화질 원본 jpg 파일과 보정본은 추가 금액 없이 모두 제공되며 온라인 갤러리는 1년까지만 보관되니 꼭 미리 저장해 주세요. 또한 저작권은 작가에게 있으며, 정면이 아닌 뒷모습, 실루엣, 소품, 멀리찍거나 어두워 인물이 식별되지 않는 사진 등 초상권을 침해하지 않는 사진은 별도 동의 없이 포트폴리오로 사용될 수 있음을 안내해 드립니다. 예쁜 보정본으로 곧 찾아뵐 테니 조금만 기다려주세요!"

  • Weekend Shoot Guidelines:

    We do not shoot on Saturdays.

    For weekend requests, we highly recommend Sunday morning slots. If an afternoon slot is unavoidable, please anticipate heavy tourist crowds at popular spots.

    Weather Policies:

    San Francisco rarely experiences heavy rain. If there is a light drizzle, the session will proceed as planned. In the rare case of heavy downpours or hazardous storms, we will attempt to reschedule. Please note that if rescheduling is impossible due to the client's travel itinerary, the retainer is non-refundable.

    Wardrobe Tips:

    Your outfit plays a massive role in the final quality of the photographs. Please avoid overly puffy sleeves/shoulders, excessive ruffles, or oversized busy patterns. If a dress line sits too high up on the waist, it can accidentally create a maternity look on camera.

    For Wedding :

    Please avoid outfits that are excessively tight. Outfits that squeeze too tightly can create unflattering shadows and creases on skin that are very difficult to edit. Even for slender silhouettes, overly tight clothing can paradoxically make you appear larger on camera than you actually are. If you are unsure about your outfit choice, feel free to send a photo for feedback!

    Prop & Rental Services:

    Bringing veils from abroad can result in stubborn wrinkles, and sourcing fresh bouquets locally in a new city can be stressful. To ease your travel burden, we offer faux bouquet and bridal veil rentals for $30. Please request this during our consultation.

    Personal Props:

    Any personalized items (ties, accessories, balloons, etc.) must be brought by the client. The photographer does not supply custom props.

    Meeting Locations:

    The day before your shoot, we will send you the exact Google Maps location link and meeting time via KakaoTalk or message. Please arrive on time; tardiness will directly reduce your shooting duration as we cannot push back subsequent client slots. If you do not have private transportation, you are welcome to ride with the photographer to move between locations during the session. The session will conclude at our final shooting spot.

    예약 변경 및 취소

    예약 변경: 예약 변경은 작가의 스케줄 가능 여부에 따라 조율됩니다.

    예약 취소: 예약 확정 후 고객 개인 사정으로 인한 취소 시, 예약금은 환불되지 않습니다. 해당 금액은 해당 날짜 및 시간대를 독점적으로 확보하기 위한 기회비용으로 반환이 불가한 점 양해 부탁드립니다.

    주말 촬영

    1. 토요일에는 촬영하지 않습니다.

    2. 주말 촬영 원하실 때는 일요일 오전 시간 추천하구요. 여의치 않을때는 관광객이 많은 것을 감안하셔야 합니다.

    날씨

    샌프란시스코는 비가 드물게 오는 지역이지만 혹시라도 비가 조금 오는 상황이면 그대로 촬영이 진행이 되고요 많이 주룩주룩 내리는 경우에는 다른 날로 스케줄을 다시 잡습니다. 스케줄 조정이 안돼서 못 찍는 경우에 예약금은 돌려드리지 않고 있습니다.

    의상

    어떤 옷을 입느냐가 촬영에 상당한 퀄리티를 좌우합니다. 과한 디자인 (어깨와 팔이 부한 스타일, 셔링이 과한 옷, 무늬가 큰 옷은 피해주시고요. 허리라인이 너무 위에 있으면 임부복 같은 느낌으로 나올 수 있어요. 입고 싶으신 옷이 적합한지 잘 모르실 때는 언제든지 연락 주세요. 특히 웨딩스냅 찍으시는 분들은 꽉 끼는 옷을 입어서 살이 울퉁불퉁하게 그늘지는건 보정이 잘 되지 않아요. 날씬하셔도 너무 꽉 끼는 옷은 사진에 실제보다 뚱뚱해 보입니다.
